It’s here. The online pre-orders for the latest iconic Apple device, the Apple Watch has opened. But there is a catch. Delivery will only start (note: START) in June.
If you want to do a Christy Burlington Burns and be one of the first to sport the watch on your wrist, make like the supermodel and run to the Apple Store when sales start 24 April. It seems like Apple wants to once more see snaking lines and people camping outside the store for the next big thing from Apple.
If you are patient, online pre-orders are the way to go. As always pricing is standard and the best option for those in Asia is Hong Kong and Japan. Forget Australia where the GST bumps up the price by an extra AU$50+ . The US store is also a good option in terms of pricing and if you have a virtual shopper or shipping address.
All offer free delivery but only within the country. So which is better, pay the extra shipping costs or the price of an air ticket for a short shopping holiday?
